Cesar,
As long as oil isn't visibly flowing out, it is PROBABLY nothing major. If you can actually see oil flowing out, then take it to a mechanic. The "grilled" thing is the cylinder or "jug", and it is comprised of the headcover (on top) the head (middle) and the actual cylinder which is directly above the engine/transmission case (smooth metal). At each place where the parts join, there is a gasket (or some sort of gasket material) and the leaks tend to come from there.
The Savage tends to leak if it is overfilled, so that's the first thing to check. On the lower right side of the engine case there is a little round window. It is right above where the muffler meets the exhaust pipe. Kind of tucked in behid the bulge on the case. You can't see it while seated on the bike. Warm the bike up, then hold it upright and have someone check the level through that little window. The oil should be between the two little marks.
If it is not overfilled, then I'd suggest getting someone who knows what they are doing. You haven't neccisarily bought a lemon, but you'll probably need some help. It may be as simple as tightening some bolts, but then again you may have some blown gaskets.
